KAISERComm is excited and proud to announce our two interns working with us this summer. Meet Lauren and Chris! Each wrote their introduction below as one of their first assignments. Please join us in welcoming them to KAISERComm this summer!
My name is Lauren Reid and I am one of the interns at KAISERComm this summer. I am a junior at the University of Wisconsin-Madison pursuing a degree in journalism and strategic communications. In addition to working at KAISERComm I am also working at a public relations firm that works with a wide range of companies.
During this past school year I interned at the Greater Madison Chamber of Commerce where I worked with the Communications Director. My main responsibility was writing a weekly newsletter that highlighted upcoming Chamber events and news about the Madison community. I was also in charge of managing their Facebook and Twitter accounts. These experiences have given me the confidence to handle any project at KAISERComm such as their email and social media campaigns, and a new brochure.
In my spare time, I like to go up to the lake, practice yoga, and spend time with my friends and family. I am looking forward to expanding my skill sets and I am excited to achieve all of the goals we have planned.
My name is Chris and I’m one of the new interns at KAISERComm this summer. I currently attend the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota and am pursuing a business major in marketing management. I will be going into my junior year at the university this fall with aspirations of graduating in the spring of 2015. In addition to working at KAISERComm this summer I am launching a clothing company and will also continue to freelance graphic design. As an entrepreneurial-minded student KAISERComm attracted me. They offer an experience that will not only benefit my future in marketing, but also my future hopes of becoming a successful entrepreneur. I’m really excited to be considered part of the KAISERComm team and look forward to working in their fast paced environment.
In my spare time I enjoy graphic designing, golfing, and keeping up with professional sports, mainly hockey and football. I have a huge interest in every genre of music and enjoy attending live shows. Throughout the school year I keep myself busy with course work, intramural sports, and Tommie ski-snowboard club involvement.
I’m beyond excited to be working as an intern at KAISERComm! We have a lot of tasks to get done this term, but I can’t wait to put my skill set to work. Overall the internship should be a great learning experience for myself, I will do everything I can to move KAISERComm forward and stay committed to excellence.
