For our KAISERComm employee spotlight interview we shine the light on Chris Skordahl who has been working at KAISERComm for the past five years. Chris is an account executive that is responsible for selling new systems and maintaining current relationships with KAISERComm’s customers. When asked how his position impacts the customer, Chris said, “My job impacts the customer by finding new ways to improve a company’s efficiencies and their telecommunications by providing money saving solutions with the technology KAISERComm implements.”
Before working at KAISERComm, Chris was a financial consultant at IBM. Chris then wanted to get into sales at a smaller company. He started working at KAISERComm and accepted the role of an account executive. He realized there was a niche that KAISERComm was not addressing on their small to medium enterprise portfolio. He took it upon himself to not only get sales certified, but passed all of the engineering and technical courses and certifications on AVAYA IP Office.
One of his favorite things about his job is how everyday presents something different by always taking on new projects. Also, Chris explained how his co-workers and him are a tight-nit group that is working towards a common goal.
In Chris’ free time he likes to be on the water and go fly-fishing and water skiing. One interesting fact about Chris that many people may not know is that when he was in college he backpacked across all of the Hawaiian Islands with a small class of his for a month. His favorite parts of the trip were standing on an active volcano and cliff jumping.
